Osun State

Osun State was created in 1996 during the regime of the former president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida with its capital at Osogbo. The state shares boundary with Kwara State in the north, in the east partly by Ekiti State and partly by Ondo State, in the south by Ogun State and in the west by Oyo State. The current governor is H.E Adegboyega Oyetola together with his deputy Benedict Olugboyega Alabi under the All Progressive Congress (APC). Hon. Timothy Owoeye is the Honorable speaker State House of Assembly.
