Ogun State

Ogun State was created in 3 February, 1976 during the regime of former President General Murtala Mohammed with Abeokuta as the capital. The state shares boundary with Lagos State to the south, Oyo and Osun States to the north, Ondo to the east and the Republic of Benin to the west.
The current governor is H.E. Dapo Abiodun, elected under the All Progressive Congress (APC) together with his deputy Hon. Mrs. Oyedele Noimot Olurotimi. Rt. Hon. Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo is the Honorable speaker State House of Assembly.
